Telehealth Physiotherapy Now Available

First Choice Health is now offering Telehealth Physiotherapy

COVID-19 has rapidly and drastically changed our day-to-day lives. But we know your physiotherapy needs haven’t changed at all, and many of you are still depending on our care.

We are pleased to announce that we now offer Telehealth Physiotherapy, to ensure your physio treatment remains on track.

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is essentially an online health consultation. Our physiotherapists are able to assess and diagnose injuries, provide exercise and advice to assist patients in self managing their conditions, as well as offer advice on modifications to home work and study stations to improve ergonomics and avoid injury.

Telehealth allows you to see your physiotherapist from your phone or laptop.

This can all be done from afar using video conference calling software. If you are unable to attend our clinic because you are unwell, self-isolating or self-distancing during the COVID-19 Pandemic, our physiotherapists are able to continue to provide treatment, progress exercises, and assess and diagnose new conditions.

We are also able to send you videos and explanations of exercises.

As of the 14th April 2020, many private health insurers will be offering a rebate on Telehealth physiotherapy consultations, and Medicare, Workcover, and TAC have already approved these services. This means that you do not need to have a lapse in your physiotherapy treatment / care during these difficult times.
