We’ve answered some common questions about our physiotherapy services below. If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, please contact us.

No, you do not require a referral to attend physiotherapy. However, your doctor may recommend physiotherapy to help in your rehabilitation and might send a letter to us regarding your condition.
Your first Physiotherapy appointment will take up to 40 minutes. During this time we will thoroughly assess your condition and involve you in the decision making process of your treatment. All follow up physiotherapy appointments will take up to 20 minutes.
Yes we do. If you have private health insurance with the appropriate extras cover, please bring your card with you to your appointment for on-the-spot private health insurance claims.
Yes, we treat work cover patients. Please bring a doctor’s work cover certificate with a referral to physiotherapy and proof that your insurer has accepted liability. Contact us for more information.
Yes. If you have been injured on the roads involving a vehicle, the TAC can cover your physiotherapy sessions however, we require a doctor’s referral and a TAC claim number.
In certain circumstances, your doctor can refer you under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Scheme. For eligible patients, this will give you up to 5 bulk billed physiotherapy sessions per calendar year. Please speak to your doctor to find out if you are eligible.
Yes. The physiotherapists at First Choice Health treat DVA patients. However, we require a current doctor's referral (12 month expiry).
